News: The Matrix Online Patch 7.4057

Items on this page are part of the version 7.4057 patch.

Changes and Improvements

  • Special Attacks for single weapons can now be used with the Dual version of the same weapon. For example, Covering Fire (Submachine Gun) can now be used with Dual Submachine Guns equipped. (Dual weapon prerequisites must still be met to equip them.)
  • Find Weaknesses now has a passive ability icon. Now when the tool is used, an icon shows that a debuff has been applied to the target.
  • Tengu's AI has been adjusted to make it more aggressive.
  • NPCs now use Block tactics more effectively.
  • Players with no reputation in any Organization are now treated as Zionites for PvP.
  • Hyper-Dodge effect now appears more frequently.
  • Players are no longer prevented from climbing pipes and ladders while sneaking or invisible, but doing so will end the stealth effect.
  • Setting a hotbar slot to auto-repeat using Ctrl + # or Ctrl + Click no longer sets the same slot on other hotbars to auto-repeat. For example, if you Ctrl + Click slot 2 on hotbar 1, when you switch to hotbar 2, slot 2 will no longer be highlighted. Switching back to hotbar 1 will restore the highlight on slot 2.
  • All shortcut keys on the buttons next to the compass are now shown when the buttons are moused over.
  • Players attempting to left-click anything but their opponents during duels now get a feedback message explaining why they can't target anything else.
  • Mouseover descriptions have been added for the following status icons: Self Defense, Locate Data Node, Sneak, Tap Data Node, Detection, Energized Attacks, Remote Proxy 1.0, Precise Blow, and Death Effect.
  • Faction names can now be up to 41 characters long.

Bug Fixes

  • Using the left mouse-button to change camera position no longer deselects the current target.
  • Repeatedly clicking More in the Marketplace no longer causes client lag.
  • Bug making it impossible to complete missions when a cell phone is in the player's Inventory has been fixed.
  • Cell phone mission objects that overflow onto the floor can now be picked up.
  • Sharpshooter mouseover text now correctly describes the effects of the Ability. (Sharpshooter increases your chance to hit an opponent while using guns in Interlock combat.)
  • Bug allowing players to use a timed Ability twice in a row (ignoring the timer) has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug causing the "Morpheus grimace" in Cinematic 1.2 while using some graphics cards.
  • Bug causing a previous target to take damage while using the Meson Rifle in Free-Fire combat has been fixed.
  • Bug causing the Reconstruct timer to appear in the Loading Area after a player's RSI is killed has been fixed.
  • Bug causing the wrong Code Archive items to be listed on the Marketplace has been fixed.
  • Bug causing the game to crash when players engage Bob in the Tutorial construct has been fixed.
  • Bug causing the weapon requirement not met message to remain on the screen even if a usable weapon is equipped has been fixed.
  • Players no longer receive the message that they changed their RSI's mood after using a /mood command for their RSIs current mood.
  • Bug causing Consumables to become unusable if dragged from the Action panel to the Hotbar while the timer is recycling has been fixed.
  • Bookwyrn Intellectuals now spell their names correctly.
  • Withdrawing Information from a Faction bank no longer gives feedback that the player withdrew Information from a Crew bank.
  • Depositing Information to a Faction bank now gives feedback that the player lost Information because it was deposited.
