THE QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

“I was looking for an answer. It's the question that drives us. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did.”

Trinity, The Matrix

We asked for your questions, and some of you have offered up some mighty juicy queries for our consideration. Though many questions have already been submitted, it is not too late for you to submit your own. If you should happen to think of an unusual, entertaining, and/or otherwise edifying question, please move with haste to The Matrix Online Beta Forums and post a response. You may find the answer you seek, featured right here in the AetherNET Community Uplink. Check out the Question of the Week thread here on the Beta Boards: Question of the Week

This week's question comes from LostProphet, who asks:

Q:

Will there be a fansite kit made available?

A:

Aether, your rascally Online Community Specialist, responds:

Yes! The Community Team is working right now on an extensive fansite kit, to include things like sounds from within The Matrix Online , musical scores from The Matrix, downloads, special cinematics, logos, original art and renders and much, much more.

Our fansites will be receiving some official recognition as well, with the introduction of the Official Data Node digital tchotchke! Our top-drawer artists came up with the image- and the Community Team loves our artists. Take a look for yourself!“

BONUS QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

LostProphet asks:

Q: “How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?”

I asked Walrus this question; though I am quite sure he was unaware that he was on the record.

His answer: “3 cord.”

To which I asked: “3 cord?”

To which he replied: “3 cord.”

He sounded a little grumpy, but then again, one might expect a walrus to be bitter about questions involving activities wherein an opposable thumb is required.

In any case, you heard it here first- many thanks to LostProphet for his questions, now on with the show!

“NAME THAT SCREENSHOT” CONTEST!

Here's how this works- we pick a screenshot, you submit a caption, and our crack team will pick the best caption and post it as our screenshot of the day! The rules are simple: Keep it content and context appropriate, and have fun! With that being said, I now present to you the very first installment of the “Name that Screenshot” Contest!

So there you are redpills, post your suggested captions to this thread: Name That Screenshot Contest The winner will get a top billing on our front page, and the adoration of redpills throughout the land.

YOUR RATION OF FASHION

The response to the fashion question on the Beta Boards was fantastic. So much so, that we are working on an article and some very interesting contest ideas are being tossed around. Because we love you so, here's a sneak peek at our conversation with Jeff Miller , Lead Character Designer for The Matrix Online:

Q:

How will player feedback affect the future of fashion in The Matrix Online?

A:

Player feedback will be a huge factor in deciding what new clothes are made. As in the real world, where clothes are made to suit the desires of the consumer, the same concept applies to The Matrix Online

Q:

How will fashion evolve and change within The Matrix Online?

A:

Fashion will evolve based on the desires of the players. There are already plans for faction specific clothing, for instance, and that is based on player feedback. The way clothing will be released will occur in two different methods. There will be a steady trickle of new clothing assets to augment the current clothing set, and then there will periodically be large releases equivalent to a new fall lineup you would see from a real-world fashion designer.

How cool is that? There's certainly more to come on this topic, meanwhile, a hearty thanks go out to all those that weighed in on the subject of fashion within The Matrix Online!
