Attention Operatives:

We just received updates that hordes of mysterious figures wearing masks are seeking out and attacking Redpills. We are unaware of the source that is directing this faction, and so it is suggested that all Operatives proceed with extreme caution. If you are approached by any of these masked figures, consider them to be a threat to you and defend yourself. We have no information on their purpose. It is our request that all Operatives investigate their activities and figure out what it is they seek.

Once Operatives gather a complete set of data on these masked men, proceed to the Machine Collector and deliver all that you have acquired. Proceed with caution. Your history has proven you to be efficient at completing similar tasks and the Agents are confident that you will acquire the information necessary to determine the motives of these individuals.

At this time we are aware that Morpheus remains at large. He recently broadcasted a message that indicates his true position against the Machines. It is evident that Morpheus never had any desire to maintain the Truce as his contentious agenda indicates. The requests for Mr. Anderson’s body continue, and as we stated before, we do not deal with terrorists.

We are unsure if the masked figures are in some way allied with Morpheus. It is a possibility that they are operatives under the Merovingian, or they could be decoy Exiles. It is our collective desire to learn their purpose, while continuing our efforts to trace the exact locations of Morpheus. It is imperative that you conduct the investigation as to the origin and intention of these masked individuals, and share all that you discover amongst those serving the Machines.

We Are Stabilizing the Matrix

To: All Machine Operatives

Attention Operatives:

In a series of systematic and measured defensive maneuvers over the course of the past few days, our Operatives have moved toward stabilizing the Matrix. The skill and persistence in which you have countered Morpheus’ destructive designs has not gone unnoticed. Your efforts are to be commended. With your continued efficiency, the situation should be de-escalated shortly.

Currently however, Morpheus is still at large and shows no sign of abandoning his crusade. It would seem that the well-being of his fellowman has become completely irrelevant in this self-serving quest that is comprehensible to no one but himself. I have received reports that Morpheus is now plotting to position code bombs in high traffic areas within the Matrix. He has encouraged Zion operatives to allow the bombs to explode on them, distorting their codes and thereby beginning yet another cycle of waking Bluepills. This activity is by no means condoned under the terms of the Truce and is unacceptable.

This attack cannot be allowed to begin anew. The resources generated to extinguish the initial round of bombs were vast. And while the Truce appears to be… negotiable to Morpheus, it will not be jeopardized by his continued assaults. The Machines have every intention of protecting the Truce and all those who follow the terms.

The danger posed by Morpheus has grown exponentially, and the aid he has received from unknown sources has proved to be more serious than we anticipated. His complete disregard for humans indicates that he is operating on an agenda that continues to… mystify our programmers, who are searching for a solution. His disregard for the Truce is forcing the Machines to consider unorthodox answer to the situation. The responsibility of upholding the Truce falls to everyone who resides in the Matrix.

Operatives should avoid confronting Morpheus directly. Operatives should rest assured that Morpheus will be dealt with swiftly.

Be prepared for anything.

Your Services Are Now Required

To: All Zion Operatives

Operatives:

It would seem that the predicament generated by Morpheus’ crusade is beginning to have an effect. The incessant detonation of code bombs is destabilizing the Matrix. Morpheus’ disregard for the safety of humans is evident in his continued refusal to discontinue all destructive acts, and he must be stopped.

All measures are being taken in defense of these terrorist actions. However, in our attempt to maintain optimal performance within the Matrix, the resources available to us are being drained. Locating and defusing the bombs requires plugging into stockpiles of energy not allotted by the programming structures. The consequences of these resources being depleted could be fatal to both Machines and humans.

The sheer number of code bombs being detonated points to only one thing: Morpheus cannot be working alone. While there is no evidence as yet to confirm the origin of possible conspirators, one thing is certain. Anyone discovered helping a known terrorist is outside the protection of the Truce and will suffer the same fatal consequences as Morpheus.

There are those among you who have expressed a desire to assist us in any way possible. Initially it was assumed that this would be unnecessary, and that dealing with Morpheus would be swift and final. However, circumstances are such that your services will be required. The integrity and preservation of the Matrix lies with both humans and Machines. Contact will be forthcoming regarding instruction to locating and defusing code bombs.

Once you have undertaken the mission, it is essential that you understand that the code bombs require immediate attention and must be deactivated at once. Current Agents who have been deployed are encountering stiff resistance when defusing the bombs. Combat is inevitable and victory is crucial. Be prepared for a challenge.

Avoid Morpheus, His Apprehension Is Imminent

To: All Machine Operatives

Operatives:

The circumstances concerning Morpheus have evolved into a potentially… precarious situation. It would seem that Morpheus has not taken kindly to the Machines’ refusal to meet his absurd demands. He has begun to make a nuisance of himself.

While his singular efforts are considerably weak, he has made a deliberate attack against the Matrix. By detonating bombs intended to harm the Matrix, Morpheus has violated the terms of the Truce. There will be repercussions. The Machines are at peace with humans as a whole. As reports to this point indicate that Morpheus acts alone, we have no reason to believe the foundation of the Truce has been corrupted.

Morpheus and his actions remain an… enigma. His contention that the remains of Mr. Anderson hold some significance is most bizarre. Mr. Anderson was an integral part of the very Truce that Morpheus now defiles. To use him as a motivation for destruction is… puzzling. However, if puzzles are for entertainment, Morpheus’ actions fail to amuse. He risks compromising the system that keeps the whole of humanity alive. And so it is in your best interests to stop these code bombs with haste.

While the apprehension of Morpheus is imminent, redpill operatives are ordered to avoid him at all cost. Agents have been deployed to isolate and quarantine Morpheus, using any means possible. Your orders are to examine the code bombs and identify the means to their disposal.

The Truce is Jeopardized

To: All Machine Operatives

Attention Operatives:

Morpheus’ threats to upset the Matrix if Mr. Anderson’s body is not returned have endangered the agreement of the Truce. The balance of the Matrix is being jeopardized. Morpheus is a known terrorist with an established history of unpredictable behavior. The Machines do not concede to demands made by terrorists, and there will be no negotiating and will not be agreeing to Morpheus’ demands. Mr. Anderson’s body is irrelevant, and Morpheus’ actions are in direct opposition to the terms of the Truce.

Morpheus threatens the stability of the Matrix, and in doing so, has acted outside of the accord. It is our position that Morpheus is a renegade among his kind, and as such, he is no longer protected by our agreement with Zion. If he chooses a continuation of these attacks, the consequences will be fatal.
