The Matrix Online Stratics just released a fantastic E3 interview
with game designers Erik Krebs, Bruce Karlick, and Producer Troy Skinner. In
the interview the Developers discuss events, the game, and the future of The
Matrix Online. You don't want to miss this interview!
Aside from Event Messaging,
what are you guys working on right now to add value-added features
to the game?
Troy Skinner:
Sure, this is actually tough ground to tread. A
lot of the things we’ve hinted about and explained is around events and
a lot of times they are around plot twists and ways that content manifests
within the Matrix itself. One of the things I think we want to talk about
is something we call “Pandora’s Box”.
Erik Krebs:
In 3.0? Like one of the things Troy said, we have
fiction and we like to introduce our new features through the fiction. We
have a special feature or something so that it makes perfect sense and it’s
just not a game mechanic that is thrown in there. Pandora’s
Box is a chunk of content that takes advantage of our collectors and
our good mission system, and blends them together to create a content
story system that has multiple parts, and the first part of it is 3.0.
