The Matrix Online Sneak Preview is the final phase of our rigorous beta testing schedule before officially launching the game on March 22.

What is The Matrix Online Sneak Preview?

The Matrix Online Sneak Preview is the final phase of our rigorous beta testing schedule before officially launching the game on March 22. The Sneak Preview will begin on Saturday, March 12th at 12:00PM PST. It will end at 9PM PST on Tuesday, March 15th. In this final phase of testing, players will get a chance to see the most current version of the game, including many storyline elements from the continuation of The Matrix saga. The development team of The Matrix Online will also use the sneak preview to correct any last minute bugs, game issues, or server tweaks that we will need to launch the final product with.

Will you charge people to play during the Sneak Preview?

Absolutely not, The Matrix Online preview is free.

If the Sneak Preview is free, why do I need a credit card to participate?

Using a credit card allows us to completely test our billing and authentication systems which are essential to a successful launch of the game. Although, your credit card will not be charged, we do place a small temporary hold on the account of about $1.00 dollar.

Will I need a credit card to play the game once its released?

Actually, no. If you do not have a credit card, or prefer a different payment method, you can purchase a pre-paid game card at most software retailers. This game card will allow you to credit your game account with two months of gameplay time.

Is the Sneak Preview any different than the final stress test?

The Sneak Preview will offer players a chance to experience the latest version of the game which includes most of the features available in the final version of the game on March 22. You will also have the opportunity to get a glimpse of some of the storyline content that will be revealed in the live game.

How do I get an account so I can participate in the Sneak Preview?

Accounts will be distributed at www.fileplanet.com and www.gamespot.com starting Tuesday, March 8th. Tune into those sites for more information on how to get your account. Be sure to check our Sneak Preview page for more details.

Do I have to be a FilePlanet or GameSpot subscriber to sign up for the Sneak Preview?

No. As long as you have an internet connection and email address, you can participate in The Matrix Online Sneak Preview. However, there are a limited amount of Sneak Preview accounts available and they will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

I was in stress test 1 and 2, will I be able to use my old characters in the Sneak Preview?

Yes!

When does the Sneak Preview begin?

The Sneak Preview will begin on Saturday, March 12th at 12:00PM PST. It will end at 9PM PST on Tuesday, March 15th.

Will there be a limit to the number of people invited to The Matrix Online Sneak Preview?

Yes, there will be a limited number of Sneak Preview accounts distributed to players, so we recommend that you try and sign-up as early as possible when the Sneak Preview is finally announced. Once you sign-up, you should receive a beta testing key very quickly.

Will I be able to start playing right away?

You will not able to play until Saturday, March 12th at noon. However once you get your Sneak Preview account, you may begin downloading and patching the game. You can also download the full The Matrix Online game here at FilePlanet.
